Corinne and Lucy, both Londoners, spent a decade living their own individual adventures overseas before they came together, back in London, in the summer of 2009. Corinne, a fashion journalist and stylist returning from Sydney, has over 20 years’ experience in the fashion, retail and media industries. Lucy returned to London in late 2008 from New York, where she had her first foray in interior design. Since her return, Lucy has continued to explore her flair for design by renovating two houses in London and Annecy. They may have followed different paths abroad, but they share a common passion; their love of fashion.

In 2014, whilst on holiday together in Provence, a poolside conversation led the two friends to realise they had an opportunity to create an exciting, new resort wear brand. Based on their own appreciation of 'affordable luxury', they felt there was a gap in the market for women like themselves seeking something different from the high street offerings that could also challenge the luxury brands.

Understanding the benefits of travelling ‘light,’ whether off on a girls weekend or packing for the family in search of sun, we wanted to design a collection that one could wear on the beach or by the pool but that was also sophisticated enough to wear for lunch or a drink at the bar.

Throughout 2015 Corinne and Lucy worked with the London Business School on a business plan and leading communications agency J Walter Thompson on developing their brand identity. They took time researching the market so they could first and foremost understand their customers and create individual products that reflect Corinne and Lucy’s shared passion and values. Working with print designers in London and sourcing the Harper Scout fabric in Italy they set out to produce beautiful resort wear to suit every shape; nothing too short or too sheer.
